Old Quiz Result
Found this old quiz result I did last year in march. Quite a coincidence coz just recently, friends and I were discussing abt how my brain works. Kinda what this quiz result is saying...
Tickle's Original Inkblot Test
Reveal Your Subconscious Mind
PY, your subconscious mind is driven most by Curiosity
You are full of questions about life, people, and your own potential. You spend more time than others imagining the possibilities for your life — and you're open to things others are too afraid to consider.
You have an almost physical need to know and do more. It's only through new experiences that you feel a greater understanding of yourself and the world. You also have a rebellious streak that shows up when you feel unable to truly influence the world or circumstances around you. Your appetite for novel experiences also shows an openness others don't have, but wish they did.
Your psyche is very rich; the more you learn about it, the more you will understand who you really are.

First 2 days of school
School started with a 1-week workshop, designing *scape - the green plot behind cineleisure. My group's pretty cool. We're damn relaxing, tok a lot of peripheral stuff when we do our work. Haha v funny. I wonder how the design would go from here...
During site visit, I picked up a tiny brown booklet from NYC. It's "muse - IdN free paper Issue #1 - November 2005". It's uber cool~~ :D Its layout and design are collage-y type... what I love I guess. Apart from the horrific HP ad pages inside the booklet, I'm rooting for it! My favourite is the spread on lomography! Perfect~ I've been eyeing lomo coloursplash for a loong time. And after reading the article and seeing the pictures.... I wanna grab a fisheye too! :D But a little pricey for my budget for play things. Besides, I need a decent digicam. My current one is dying.... it washes out or give me pure blues and pinks here and there (it's a coloursplash in some ways I guess)
Anyways... time to turn in.... need to kick my habit of sleeping late. I've lecture tomorrow morning & somehow I still feel like I'm on holiday!! :P

Point proven
Heh heh.... guess I'm right abt the boring post thing. No comments on my 2 recent posts. Then again, it is so hard to comment on such things, eh? On stuff you have mulled over for such a long time... on deep thoughts that only you can figure while others may not understand. These are just meant to be said, I guess. The main point is really for the speaker to get it off his/her chest, to express. Thus I see blogging MAINLY as a form of (personal) expression/release... Is it the same for other bloggers?

Link-Think
This post recalls an incident from the past. I don't know why I rake up the past all the time. I guess it's just how I'm wired. Every moment of my consciousness, I'm thinking. May not be productive in a tangible way. I daydream and wonder what-ifs when I see something interesting. Like a man walking on the road trips. I 'link-think' abt a similar movie and wonder abt what-if his briefcase spilled to reveal something queer. Other times, I 'link-think' and think back abt past events. This post is on one such event, tracing back to J1.
At a jap cafe in coronation plaza, a friend complained to the boss, asked y the rice was normal chin rice, not jap rice? The boss became defensive and very upset that mere students were nitpicking and he kicked up a big fuss resulting in an unpleasant scene. Didn't help tt the boss took a dig at my friend when she finished every grain of rice. My 4 friends got their meal free (but i didn't coz i ordered ramen!) Weeks later this friend and I returned to the cafe. We bought sushi from NTUC as 'appetisers'. I finished my sushi before entering the cafe but my friend ate it in the cafe. Later the boss saw her eating outside food and scolded us (note: us.) He held my gaze while my friend stared at the table. He reprimanded me (note: me. no longer us) and used some hwa chong letter to scare us (i have no idea where tt letter came from. till now i have no idea wat it was for). Then suddenly, the uncle said tt he recognised me from the rice incident (even though i ate ramen at tt time!! yuan1 wang4 ah!) Having said that, he chased us out of his cafe. I was furious. He was obviously bullying us students but I didnt rebut coz my friend did flaunt his rule. It was embarassing and unnecessary. I think the word indignant is perfect in this situation. Later, my friend asked why didnt I look away while he was scolding. I thought why should I when I'm not in the wrong? Later I never returned to the cafe. (trust me, it IS a big deal not eating there coz the food is gooood and one of the few places u can eat at coro. my fav cafe. sulk.) Friends always visit that cafe and I'll sit it out. Once, a friend wanted to help me take away coz he thought I won't see the uncle then no prob. But heck no, I dun even want my money going into his pockets. *ptui*
Some friends said I was stubborn and being silly. But I think it's just a matter of principles. Till today I'm still fed up w myself for not giving that uncle a piece of my mind that day. He didnt have the right to squabble with us on the rice and his attitude was bizarre largely due to his bias towards students. Should see how he acts around the tai tais man. Total sucker. *yuck* And ironically, f&b businesses in Coro are really centred on students. W/o students, how would they survive? Sheesh.
Oh well... just some petty issues that I recalled tonight. Welcome to my world of constant recollections and daydreaming. Wrt Meijin had a good line there... "u can 'recap' the past so tt u dun repeat ur 'mistakes'. but dun dwell on it or in it."
*yawn* long post & possibly super boring to most. Good night everyone. Take care.

Band-aid
Was pondering over what a friend said earlier abt promises. Friend said there's no point being helpful all the time when you know you cannot fulfil that promise. You'll end up being untrustworthy. On a similar train of thought, there is no point helping people halfway, is there? There is no point helping someone only to reprimand him/her at the last moment out of impatience. In the end, he/she will not remem ur help but ur reproach. Not that when we help pple, we help with the aim of getting recognition or credit... but doesn't the impatient reproach at the last moment reflect the attitude in which you help pple? Perhaps you were helping with all your mind and intellect, but subconsciously, the heart is still bothered abt sacrificing ur time/effort. That happens to me sometimes and I feel so bad later when I treated someone in an ill manner that he/she did not deserve. I mean... Just because you offer aid, you do not have the right to belittle them.
I don't aim to please people around me. I dun offer help to win some popularity contest. But I tik treating friends and loved ones decently is paramount. I have no right to be nasty at all and won't spreading a bit more love and kind words make someone's world a little brighter?

Fwah! 1st week of school!
Gosh gosh gosh! my 1st week of school is gonna be hell.
1) I have to move into eusoff and pack my room at home. My parcels from NZ only arrived today... more things to pack...
2) I've to study for advanced theory! Haven't touched it yet and the test is on Monday - 1st day of school. Brilliant me. -_-"
3) There's a 1-week studio workshop... meaning from getting the brief to submission, we only have 5 days (or less). Yikes. Doesnt help that I'm very rusty... all the NZ relaxing isn't very good.
4) Portfolio submission is on the monday of the following week. Damn. My stuff just arrived from NZ. Needs a lot of touching up. Panels from NZ are really CMI. *groan*
---
Ok... so I admit my holidays hasn't been productive in a tangible way. But I have a legit reason and I've been productive in other ways. *fold arms*
-_-
Ok. Time to scamper. Toodles~

2nd day of the year
I tried to title my post & realised I've no clue abt what/why I want to write today. Went thru my petty posts abt losing my polystrene sheet and admired the pretty daisy photo. Then I wondered... There really isnt anything to be angry abt is there? Things that tip my balance are really ephemeral. There are more things in life to celebrate than to weep or fume over. Why be upset over some things when there are a million more to be cheerful abt?
Having petty tiffs with parents? Remember how they care. Lost an item your loved one gave? Perhaps the memory is more impt. Disappointed over happenings? Look forward to the future. There's always hope and opportunities.
Perhaps that's why I like white daisies. Plain and simple. They speak the wonders of nature. Supple white petals with sunny centres that complete the friendly look :) After my exchange in New Zealand, I realise I really love nature after all. B4 NZ, I used to believe that I'm perfectly alright with 2 types of landscape surrounding my ideal home - (1) peaceful nature, whether it's the forest, a brook or the sea (2) glorious city lights as landscape. Now, I tik I really need a piece of nature every now and then (other than the patch of sky above my head thank u). 'Machiam therapy tt relieves stress, makes me less snappy.
Anyway, I have a new year resolution. To be more attentive to people. Many a time, I want to care for someone, make something or just spend time next to them. But my procrastination and utter lack of discipline has totally undermined my good intentions. They never get translated, pple never get to find out. Well... time to forget convenience and do what is right, don't u think. I was telling calico, a sign tt I'm doing tt will be writing lil notes, letters or cards to pple I care. Won't tt be nice? I'ld be happy to receive something like tt and I hope dear ones will like them too. Besides, what the point of having a drawer full of pretty paper when you dont use them. :p
Ok... time to potter to bed. Perhaps tt should be another official resolution. To lead a more disciplined life! Ha~ :p Cheerios!

Okay I'm blowing my top now
My mom just confessed! She threw the polystrene sheet away! Ah! And that is something you cannot even BUY! Grrrrr....
ok.... I'm gonna buy the pink slip cover for my macky.

1st day of the year
Ooh... this is quite irritating. I can't find my polystrene sheet tt's meant to be slotted betw my keyboard and screen. Thanks to my mom. (so much for saving it from the clutches of the kiwi mac guy) Worse still, I realise my archi record magazines, sep and oct issues are missing! @#$%^& $50! These are issues tt I was supposed to receive when I'm not around in S'pore. & obviously my family doesnt keep tab on tt. Doesnt help tt the postman has this awful habit of leaving the copies atop my shoe cabinet outside my door, free for my neighbours to borrow indefinitely. Damn. & seriously, my tolerance level for paranoid nagging is not very high. Yes I've grown a bit more patient after my exchange, but there's only so much unjustified shouting I can take before I react.
